Make the most of your garage during winter
- Workout station
Getting on top of your fitness goals is a great way to improve your life. The good news is that you can do exactly that by transforming your garage into a workout station. Start by clearing out any excess junk and then get to work on the heavy lifting - think dragging in a bench, free weights and maybe even a machine or two. Keep in mind that you can stick with body weight exercises and cardio too. Just grab a skipping rope or a boxing bag and you’re good to go.
- Relaxation room
Everyone needs to de-stress these days, and winter can make for the perfect opportunity. We love the idea of creating a relaxing refuge in your garage. To do this, you’ll want to get your hands on a yoga mat, some scented candles and a speaker to play some grounding music. Be sure to clear enough space before you get started to really find your sense of inner peace.
- Study space
Got an exam coming up? Writing a soon-to-be best seller? You may need someone to put pen to paper, or to type away. Putting together a study space in your garage is a great way to beat the winter blues, and can make a world of difference to your productivity. Regardless of your goals - be them academic, occupational, personal etc - you’ll be glad to have put the effort into making an environment that’s conducive to hard work.
- Extra storage
There’s nothing wrong with spending time indoors during the colder months and focusing on creating more storage room. The garage is a smart place to begin as this is often where the most junk ends up. Be it furniture, bikes, clothing or anything else, with a little effort you can double your storage capacity.
- Man cave
A man cave makes for an ideal place to hibernate during winter. Think about what interest you the most and then choose a theme to match. Maybe you’re a huge sports fan. Or perhaps gaming is your passion. The best thing about using your garage as a man cave is that there’s no right or wrong when it comes to the design. Just have fun!
